The vast majority of people who do this are citizens who can not afford health insurance, or the cost to go for a regular doctor's visit. The illegal immigrants who do this are a minuscule amount... just a tiny drop in a very large bucket.

Illegals mainly use the emergency room for NON-EMERGENCY treatment. You wonder why so many hospitals and clinics are closing??? It's because the illegals NEVER pay for the treatment. I had a real emergency, only to wait in a room full of forigners who could not speak a word of english who obviously were not there for an emergency. GET REAL. This abuse of our system needs to stop. The tax payers should not have to pay for this.
